Hello

We've kept a corner of the Escarpment for booklovers since 2023.

Grimsby Books is Niagara's first bookshop devoted entirely to fantasy and romance. We opened in 2023 — a dream brought to life by best friends of more than a decade who'd spent countless hours talking about stories, characters, and worlds that felt as real as their own.

Every book on these shelves celebrates imagination, emotion, and escape. Sprawling fantasy adventures, slow-burn romantasy, monster romance, dark academia and cozy reads, indie debuts and battered favourites traded in by readers like you — they all live together here under low warm light.

A partnership we love

Every audiobook supports a small bookstore.

We've partnered with Libro.fm — the indie alternative to Audible — so every monthly membership and à la carte audiobook from listeners who pick us as their bookstore sends a portion back here. Same titles, fairer split.

Two letters, weekly

Pick what you'd like in your inbox.

A short letter on the book of the week, and a heads-up for events and signings. Sign up for one or both — we'll never bother you with a third.

Kind words

From the writers we've hosted.

  • Caitlin and Taylor are such a joy, a true representation of what it means to be a book lover and a part of such a wonderful, inclusive community. Grimsby Books is a must for anyone passing through the Niagara region.

Becka MackAuthor of the Playing for Keeps series
  • Grimsby Books is more than a bookstore, it's a vibe. The owners truly get to know their customers and their literary tastes, and it shows in their recommendations that go beyond what's new this week.
